The Development and
the Killing of Unborn Children - Page 3

Families of pregnant teens need to be told that over 90% of women having abortions suffer damage to their self-esteem. Nearly 50% of post-abortion women begin or increase drug and alcohol abuse. In the years to follow, 60% experience suicidal tendencies, with up to 28% actually attempting suicide. Other problems include promiscuity, depression, flashbacks, concentration problems, and dramatic personality changes. Recent studies show that approximately 20% of women having abortions will suffer full-blown, clinically diagnosable, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and over 50% will have some PTSD symptoms.

There are those who say that unborn babies should be killed in just the first trimester.

Do I note a suspicion here, that maybe at a certain developmental stage, the unborn baby becomes a human being/person?

Then there are those with colder hearts, who extend the killing of unborn babies to the first two trimesters, again, showing some concern and doubt as to whether unborn babies are human beings/persons. Then you have those with no hearts at all, condoning "Partial-Birth Abortions," which are done right up to term.

In this barbaric procedure, the unborn baby is pulled out of the birth canal by the feet and then the back of his or her head, which is still in the birth canal, is punctured and the brains are sucked out. (If the head were delivered, then it would be murder.)

Isn't it amazing that these people are willing to kill, or to condone the killing of unborn babies with this kind of doubt? In our judicial system, reasonable doubt precludes a conviction/death penalty. Why can't this same right apply to the unborn baby, especially since the unborn baby hasn't been accused of anything.

Partial-Birth Abortions are so barbaric that Congress passed a bill to ban it. However, President Clinton, who claimed he feels everyone's pain, vetoed it. Why? Because it's payback time to feed the hand that got him elected. This is how much human life means to some people: the sanctity of human life, traded for money and votes.

All of the above suspicions and doubts could be erased if only people would believe God, when HE says "Thou Shalt Not Kill," and that human life begins at conception.

When God created human life, He didn't, all of a sudden, create life inside the womb at the size and development of a 1 month old embryo and it wasn't created inside the womb the size of a 3, 6 or 9 month old fetus. Life wasn't all of a sudden created by God when the baby was born.

Human life was created by God when the sperm fertilizes the ovum (conception.) This union causes a double set of chromosomes, (half from the sperm and half from the ovum) which contain the genes/DNA which determine particular characteristics in the human being.

The result of this union, the zygote, is the beginning of a new human life with his/her own genetic code and destiny. This is a scientific fact and not based on religious views. However Judeo-Christian teachings on abortion acknowledges this scientific fact.

So when you have science and the Bible agreeing that human life begins at conception, then you are all the more perplexed that the Supreme Court legalized abortion in 1973. That infamous Roe v. Wade decision, in 1973, resulted in the slaughter of over 46 million unborn children.

Isn't it amazing that these people are willing to kill, or to condone the killing of unborn babies with this kind of doubt?

In our judicial system, NO ONE is condemned to death or even sent to jail, unless he/she is found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt and it requires an unanimous verdict. Why doesn't this same "right" apply to unborn babies, especially since they were never accused of anything?

Why didn't the Supreme Court on this one issue, change the rules, i.e., to require an unanimous verdict? After all, this was a monumental decision. It meant life or death to millions of unborn babies each year.

We're not talking about the Supreme Court debating whether a woman was sexually harassed in the work place. Yet that's how it was treated. We ARE talking about life and death.

Since there were dissenters among the members of the Supreme Court, it meant there WAS doubt, as to whether unborn babies were human beings/persons. So with this kind of doubt we should not send ONE unborn human being to his death, let alone over 45 million. The Supreme court in 1973 didn't have the present day scientific knowledge of the development and physiology of unborn children...nor the care of premature babies.

But still that was no excuse, and as long as there were dissenters, it should NOT have passed.

If it were argued before a jury of ordinary citizens, as in our criminal courts, where a unanimous verdict and beyond a reasonable doubt, was needed, it would have NEVER passed. So before the Supreme Court even voted, it had already been decided that unborn babies were not human beings/persons, because people are never sent to death if there is any reasonable doubt in just ONE juror's mind.

The Supreme court had doubts, otherwise why the dissenters? But they didn't care, and as a result, this country not only killed over 45 million unborn children, but this decision has instilled in the minds of the public that life is cheap.

So don't be surprised when women kill their newborn and throw them in dumpsters or when children kill children, or the fact that child abuse has skyrocketed, since this horrendous decision.

Breast cancer has risen dramatically in America, by 50% since 1973 (Roe v. Wade), and is also increasing worldwide.

Recent studies have pointed out a dramatic relationship between the rate of abortion and the rising incidence of breast cancer. In fact, as the rate of abortion rises in America, so does the rate of breast cancer, with those women who have aborted having significantly higher rates.

Why Does an Induced Abortion Heighten the Risk of Breast Cancer?

One reason the association between an induced abortion and breast cancer is becoming harder to deny is that the linkage makes sense intuitively to the layman and conforms to what scientists know about how breast cancer begins and about the protective influence a completed pregnancy affords to women.

For instance, most researchers believe the cancer originates in immature, undifferentiated breast cells, tissues which have not matured and specialized. Such cells proliferate dramatically in the first trimester of pregnancy, stimulated by increased concentrations of the female hormone estrogen. "These young, growing cells," as one science reporter put it, "if left to their own devices, are especially vulnerable to malignancy." But in the second half of pregnancy, the estrogen levels recede. Under the influence of such hormones as human placental lactogen, the immature tissues grow and differentiate rapidly into mature, specialized milk-producing tissue.

Once specialization has occurred, cells are less likely to turn cancerous. That is why scientists have long known that a completed pregnancy confers protection against breast cancer. However, this process is short circuited if a woman has an induced abortion. While the estrogen of early pregnancy still stimulates a proliferation of undifferentiated, cancer-vulnerable cells, the protection that comes from hormones released later in pregnancy never takes place.

Since abortion is almost never used for health reasons, abortion is the most avoidable of breast cancer risks!

Cancer is no small matter. As a matter of fact, women are not even told of this very serious potential side effect, by the media. This is disgraceful. Yet the media daily tell everyone how to avoid getting cancer: what foods to eat or not to eat, etc. Figure that one out.

They would sooner sentence women to death, than take the chance that the legal killing of unborn babies would become history.

The liberal media have bent over backwards to hide the stark facts about abortion and breast cancer. However, with more studies "in the pipeline," it is only a matter of time and ongoing pro-life publicity before the truth wins out. In the meantime, women will continue to die, needlessly.

Then there are the emotional and mental problems that can result after the taking of a human life. Again this is not brought up by the killing clinics or the mass media. You don't have to be a doctor or a psychiatrist to understand this.
