Where's the Birth Certificate?

Introduction to the controversy

It has come to light that Resident Barack Obama (title intentional) may not legally be the president of the United States. There is a constitutional requirement he probably hasn't met. A person must be a natural-born citizen to be eligible to become President of the United States. A natural-born citizen means one who is a citzen from birth, according to the law for granting citizenship, in force at the time. The Founders put this clause in the Constitution because they wanted to make sure that whoever held the office was loyal to the United States. And by the way, Obama has shown us in numerous ways that he is not loyal to our country. From refusing to salute the flag to trashing the United States all over the world and bowing to the Saudi prince, his actions have shown us the exact opposite. The Founders were wise.

The Constitution says:

No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States. Article II, Section 1.

The courts have held that a person is a natural-born citizen under certain specific conditions. Among these are the fact that the person has never held dual citizenship. In Obama's case, it is highly likely that he has either had dual citizenship, or he has give up his citizenship in the past. For example, if Obama was born on Kenyan soil, he might also be a citzen of Kenya. His father was a British subject, so Obama might have had British citizenship. At one point, he lived in Indonesia, and went to school there. If this is the case (and this IS documented), then he had to become a citizen, since noncitizens were not allowed to attend school there. So if he became an Indonesian citizen, then he would have had to give up his American citizenship, since dual citizenship wasn't allowed at the time. If he had come back to the States as an adult and reclaimed his citizenship, that would be one thing, but apparently he didn't do that, either. In addition, at one point he visited Pakistan. On what passport? At the time, the United States wouldn't issue passports for Pakistan. Usually, a person gets a passport from the country where he is a citizen. Where did Obama get his passport?

It gets worse. Obama attended university in the United States. There is some information to indicate that he got a Fullbright scholarship. In order to be eligible for a Fullbright, he would have to have had foreign citzenship. Obama refuses to release his college records.

Obama could easily dispel the controversy. All he has to do is release a copy of his birth certificate to the public. He not only refuses to do so, but he has spent somewhere in the neighborhood of a million dollars to hire lawyers to fight attempts to force him to release it.

Obama's mother was an American citizen. She was, at the time, a resident of Hawai'i. Just prior to Obama's birth, she was in Kenya. Apparently the airlines refused to let her travel back to Hawai'i for the birth. She was too far along in pregnancy. According to the law at the time, in order for Obama to have American citizenship, he would have had to have gotten it from his mother. But according to the law, she couldn't have conveyed it to him because she was too young. She had to reside in the States for five years after a certain age, when he was born. She hadn't.

There are claims outstanding for where he was actually born. One of his grandmothers says he was born in Kenya. His sister said he was born in a certain hospital in Hawai'i. The only problem is, she has named two different hospitals on two different occasions. Neither of them will acknowledge that his mother was ever a patient at either hospital.

Normally, a birth certificate lists the place of birth (usually a hospital) and the attending doctor. Obama has released another document, which Hawai'i was issuing to people who asked, but which didn't serve as documentation that birth actually took place in Hawai'i. According to Hawai'i law, if a person wants to acquire land in Hawai'i, he has to prove he is a native of Hawai'i. The Hawai'ian government won't accept the document that Obama has released as proof. They insist on a copy of the document Obama refuses to show us. Furthermore, the document he has released has been shown to have been a forgery.

Apparently three years before Obama ran for president, according to World Net Daily, he hired some attorneys to look into ways to evade the Constitution. Hmmm....

It gets worse. There have been a number of lawsuits filed to try to get Obama to release his birth certificate. Without exception, the courts have decided that the people filing suit lacked standing. Standing means when a person can show that he has personally been harmed by the behavior of the defendant. Courts don't entertain hypothetical situations. Well, hey! Given the way Obama is tearing our nation apart and destroying everything, we ALL have standing. But so far, that's all that any court has been willing to do: to rule that nobody has standing to sue on this case. So who does? They're not saying.

It gets still worse. The media are TOTALLY uninterested in this issue, and have been sweeping it under the rug. Even normal conservative stalwarts like Rush Limbaugh scarcely want to talk about it!

World Net Daily has been a voice crying in the wilderness on this issue. This is a list of all the news reports they have published. While close to half the people of the United States are aware of the issue, and most of them are concerned, still nothing has been done.

In addition, discussion is starting to blossom elsewhere. For example, it is a regular topic among Freepers (i.e. participants in the Free Republic discussion board).

Besides the ordinary citizen, members of the military are also concerned that Obama may order them into situations which would be inimical to their mission. This also includes retired military personnel who believe they may be reactivated. And they are said not to have standing, either.

Kenyans widely believe that Obama was born in Kenya. They're making quite a fuss over this "wonderful" fact. One ambassador apparently claimed that he has a copy of Obama's Kenyan birth certificate.

More recently, someone has been auctioning off the alleged Kenyan birth certificate on eBay. His listing has been pulled at least six times. He wants $1 million buy now price, and opening bid of $1000. He claims to be a person who collects currency from the countries in the area.

Although the Supreme Court has a couple of conferences on whether or not to accept certiorari on these cases, so far, they have refused to do so.

I first learned of this controversy when I learned that Philip Berg had filed suit asking the court to direct Obama to release his birth certificate. He is a Democrat, but had been a supporter of Hillary. However, that wasn't the only reason he gave for filing suit. I have read some of his pleadings. I wouldn't necessarily give you a plug nickel for any of them, but he certainly did the right thing, and raised the right issues.

Another lawsuit was filed by Orly Taitz, who fully understands what is at stake, because she came to this country with this knowledge, from the former Soviet Union. She filed on behalf of the running mate of candidate Alan Keyes, Gail Lightfoot.

Dr. Taitz has asked for Quo Warranto. This is one of six extraordinary writs, the most familiar of which is Habeas Corpus. It asks that a public official prove that he or she holds public office legitimately. You can read more about these writs here: Prerogative writ .

In addition, the United States Justice Foundation has filed suit on behalf of Alan Keyes. They're looking for donations to cover legal expenses. This suit is ongoing. Donations can be made here: usjf.net

World Net Daily has carried the ball on this one. First, they gathered nearly 400,000 signatures to a petition. Then they started publishing nearly daily reports. They also organized a fundraising to put up billboards around the country with the simple message: Where is the Birth Certificate? They are also selling bumper stickers and yard signs. Finally, they have offered a $10,000 reward for any useful information that would allow us to obtain a copy of the birth certificate.

In addition, a number of groups have issued citizens' grand jury indictments against Obama for these crimes.

The bottom line: it looks like Obama knows he is a usurper, and he wants to hang onto power. For someone who preaches about transparency, he is awfully opaque! Can anyone say "coup d'etat"? How about "treason"?

The future of our nation is at stake. Please do what you can to make a fuss about this.
