Since most of these photographs were taken in the southwestern United States, I thought some Spanish guitar music would be appropriate. Would you like to listen to Asturias by Isaac Albeniz? This beautiful midi file is courtesy of guitarist David Lovell.

There are more travel photos in the music section. These include photos from Washington DC, Florida, Seattle, and Vancouver. There are also more photos on Maribeth's page, and on the martial arts page.

Some of the photos on this page were made in or near Saguaro National Park or in the Coronado National Forest. Others were made at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, the Tucson Botanical Gardens and Kitt Peak National Observatory. Some were made in my personal garden or on my property, or on various hikes and excursions in other parts of southern Arizona.

The camera with which most of these photos were made is a Pentax ZX-M, with a 50mm Pentax lens, a 75-200mm Pentax zoom lens, a Sigma 600mm mirror lens, a Tamron 90mm macro lens, and a Sears 28mm wide angle lens. I also have assorted filters, mostly Cokin. Most of the time, I use Fujicolor 400.

China

These beautiful photos are from a book entitled Huangshan in China, published by Huayi Publishing House in 1988. They are in the public domain, and I just wanted to share them with you. Yes, they really make mountains like that in China; those paintings are not just stylized.
