Maribeth's Page

Maribeth is a close friend of mine, whom I have known for a couple of decades. She is a wonderful Christian woman who also has seven children. Unlike me, she also has three grandchildren. We like to take pictures together; we also share many interests otherwise. Maribeth has done homeschooling from time to time, and she has participated in an educational cooperative with other parents. I am proud to share my web site with her. Here are some of Maribeth's photos.

Arcosanti is an architectural and artistic community in central Arizona, established by Paolo Soleri. The apartments are designed so that they are naturally cool in summer, and warmed by the sun in winter. The population consists of students of Soleri's methods and work. The day we were there, there was a forest fire burning in the distance in one direction, and a brush fire in another. Some of the residents were on the roof of the meeting shell watching them, and one fellow was filming the brush fire with an old movie camera. Maribeth spent quite awhile talking to the people on the roof. It was interesting.

In the Sedona galleries below, Tlaquepaque is a little community of shops within Sedona. The architecture is patterned after that of a town in Mexico.
